NEWSLETTER: how & when & who to contact
Send all newsletter-worthy items (show announcements, awards, classes, etc.) to Mickey Zaret at minnazaret@yahoo.com, or call 413-528-9133, generally by the 20th of the month to make it into the next month's newsletter. Newsletters will be published monthly in spring-summer-fall months and about every 6-8 weeks in winter. Please try to get your announcements to the newsletter in a timely fashion, so members will be able to make it to your events.
Send these items only to the newsletter, and the Newsletter Team of Mickey Zaret and Nina Ritson will forward them on for inclusion on the website.
WEBSITE: how & who to contact, what to send
Send all website items and corrections to Joe at joe@bakerworks.com, or by mail to: Joe Baker, PO Box 332, Monterey, MA 01245. Images: send paper prints or digital images only, no slides please. For all images sent, please make sure each one is identified clearly, and include title, size and medium information. Include a SASE if you want your prints returned. Use the phone to consult with Joe if you need to talk about what you are sending (413-528-5134).
WHAT to send:
Each member at least one (1) image for member artwork rotated into slots on almost all website pages, PLUS 3 or 4 more for the Member Gallery (Gallery holds 4 pictures per artist; will use one of these for page art if you only send 4). You may replace two pictures per year (there will be a small charge for changing additional images). Digital image specs: try to send images that are at least 6" on a side at 72 dpi. They will be adjusted as necessary for the site.
Your HVAL membership must be current to have your info and pictures listed (pay those dues!).
Make sure the website contains your correct contact info (town, phone, email, website) and be sure to notify if you do NOT wish your contact info to be listed.
Send the address of your website when you get one! It will be listed on the HVAL site.
Send info about any galleries that carry your artwork: name, address, phone, email, website, hours, and any special description or announcement.
Show announcements, awards, etc should be sent only to the newsletter, and they will be forwarded for inclusion on the website.

Renew Membership: use the Membership Form located on the Downloads page. HVAL dues are per calendar year so they are due in January.
Buy books or maps from HRS 2004: see the Shop page.
Get Workshop info and/or application: see the Workshop Schedule page and click the info link. Call the contact listed if necessary.
Get Show info and/or prospectus: see the Show Schedule page and click the info link. Call the Show Chair only as a last resort.
Volunteer for something: call the appropriate committee chair (see table above).
Make a donation to the Scholarship Fund: see the Scholarship Program page.
Find out when the next Board Meeting or General Membership Meeting is: see the Events Calendar page.
